Models and UGC creators: prepare a useful brand portfolio

Build a clear portfolio around your role, relevant examples, availability and collaboration expectations.

Define your contribution

A model appears in a production; a UGC creator makes content for a brand; an influencer may distribute content to an established audience. These roles can overlap, but their deliverables differ. Explain your main contribution in one sentence and choose examples that demonstrate it rather than relying on a broad creator label.

Select a small, relevant body of work

A few coherent examples are easier to assess than an endless folder. Make video sound clear and introduce the subject promptly. Choose photographs that show the features or product use relevant to the brief. Label self-initiated examples honestly instead of presenting them as commissioned brand work.

Add practical context

Include location, working languages and general availability. Explain whether you performed, filmed, edited or distributed each example. Use dated, verifiable figures if you mention audience size or performance. A campaign’s overall outcome should not be presented as your individual achievement without supporting evidence.

Clarify the scope before agreeing

Discuss deliverables, revision expectations, schedule and intended uses. Ask where the material will appear and whether paid advertising is involved. Put the relevant arrangements into the applicable agreement. An encouraging conversation is useful, but does not define a complete production brief or usage arrangement.

Understand what support pays for

E-commerce Models explains its support before plan selection. Preparation and prospecting are work; they are not the purchase of a guaranteed booking. A useful portfolio helps the team understand your direction without overstating experience. Keep copies of your examples and update them as your work develops.
